Migration & Modernization Services

Customer Issue:

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) replaced the statewide Motor Vehicle Records system with a new modern platform named MAX.  In conjunction with the new platform, The Arizona Department of Administration’s (ADOA) Motor Vehicle Record Request System was also modernized.

These new updates allowed external parties within Arizona and nationally to connect to the new MAX proxy, consisting of batch processing for driver’s licenses, updating batch request file validations, development of an AAD Application and Account Creation, Application Configuration and connecting to the proxy API.

Solutions & Outcome:

This project was roughly six years in the making for the state with three years of Business & Decision US  working side by side with them. The various programming languages used in the development of this project were Java, Angular, SQL, Perl, Excel VBA, HTML, CSS and Java Script.

This project went live in April 2020 and our contribution to MAX has been quite successful. This modernized system affects not only all licensed drivers throughout the state, but it also impacts insurance agencies, courts, county assessors, private investigators, auto dealerships, prosecutor’s office, MVD field offices, etc..; with each one having their own specific needs and uses for the new system. This has streamlined the motor vehicle record system where users are able to go to one statewide system to make their requests.
