Mi-Case has implemented our comprehensive Offender Management System known as Offender case management System (OCMS) in Maryland in 2011.
The Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) contracted with Mi-Case to implement a new Offender Management System. The Maryland DPSCS manages seven county jails and a central booking facility (Baltimore City Booking and Intake Center) for the city, as well as managing twenty-three prisons. DPSCS also oversees probationers who are conditionally returned to the community by the court. Maryland DPSCS has been live with its Mi-Case Corrections (Offender) Management System since 2011. Our development effort included Arrest and Booking, Pre-trail release services, correctional services (prison and community) and parole and probation. Mi-Case has been awarded a long term contract to provide annual maintenance and support of the system.
The Arizona Department of Correction, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) contracted with Mi-Case to modernize its Arizona Inmate Management System (AIMS).
The ACIS (Arizona Correctional Information System) manages all aspects of an inmate from intake through release, as well as community corrections. The ACIS project includes scoping, development, data migration, quality assurance and report writing. It includes more than 20 modules, SME’s from both Mi-Case and ADCRR, software developers, project managers, business analysts, quality assurance testers, report writers and database developers. The ADCRR project went live on 12/2/2019. Mi-Case was awarded a long-term contract to provide annual maintenance and support of the system in 2020.
In November 2020, Indiana Department of Correction awarded to Mi-Case a contract to replace all of their legacy systems that manage adult offenders in institutions, adult probation and parole, and Juvenile Corrections with the Mi-Case Offender Management solution. This project is anticipated to be completed in 2023 and was officially kicked off in February 2021.
St. Mary’s County Sherriff’s Office utilizes the Mi-Case Jail Management System (JMS) and announced in October 2020 an agreement to continue to work together to maintain and expand out the use of the Mi-Case JMS for 2020-2021.
The Mi-Case JMS has been in use at the St. Mary’s Sherriff’s County jail since 2018. The software is used for jail intake of offenders that includes demographic data, classification, housing assignments, victim notification, release, as well as for the ongoing management of the offender while incarcerated. Mi-Case is dedicated to ensuring that the JMS meets all of the needs of the Jail and is always up and operating 24x7, 365 days a year.
