Indiana Department of Corrections
The Situation
IDOC needed a browser-based OMS to support 22 facilities across 17 cities, managing approximately 28,000 incarcerated individuals and 7,000 on parole.A previousvendor had already attempted modernization and failed, specifically on data migration. IDOC needed someone who could actually move the data and go live.

What Mi-Case Delivered
First build on AWS in July 2021, less than four months after kickoff. Four complete data migration cycles, each under 12 hours. New functionality released to the test environment every three weeks, so IDOC’s team had continuous visibility and could give feedback throughout the build. Full go-live in May 2023.
The Result
Indiana runs a fully integrated, cloud-hosted OMS across its entire correctional population. The data migration challenges that stopped thepreviousvendor were resolved in the first weeks of the Mi-Case engagement.
