Corporate Paralegal

Position Summary

 

The Corporate Paralegal supports the day-to-day operationsof Mi-Case's legal department, which serves a multi-entity corporate structureand a customer base concentrated in U.S. public safety and public sectoragencies. This role owns the administrative and operational layer of the legalfunction, maintaining contract, template, and policy libraries, trackingcompliance and contractual obligations across multiple frameworks, andsupporting corporate governance, RFP coordination, and document preparation. Theideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently in alean team, and capable of managing recurring legal operations tasks withminimal supervision while supporting a broad range of legal and complianceactivities.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Contract and Template Administration

•             Maintainand organize the contract repository, including executed agreements, renewals,and key obligation tracking.

•             Managethe legal template library, ensuring templates are current, version-controlled,and accessible.

•             Preparefirst-draft contracts, NDAs, and governance documents from establishedtemplates.

•             Trackcontract deadlines, renewal dates, and notice requirements across the activecontract portfolio.

 

Policy and Compliance Documentation

•             Maintainthe policy library, coordinating scheduled reviews, approvals, versioning, anddistribution.

•             Trackcompliance deadlines and documentation requirements across CJIS, GDPR, andother applicable frameworks.

•             Assist inpreparing and organizing compliance documentation and evidence in support ofinternal and external audits, including ISO 9001 and 27001 activities.

•             Supportperiodic policy updates and assist in drafting standard operating proceduresand governance documents.

 

Corporate Governance Support

•             Coordinatecorporate filings and maintain subsidiary records across the company'smulti-entity structure.

•             Supportboard and officer documentation, including resolutions and annual governancerequirements.

•             Maintainregistered agent correspondence and track jurisdiction-specific compliancedeadlines.

 

RFP and Business Development Support

•             Assist incoordinating legal and compliance responses to RFPs, due diligence inquiries,and procurement compliance requests.

•             Organizeand maintain compliance documentation packages for business developmentpurposes, including certifications, policies, and attestations.

 

General Legal Operations

•             Managedocument execution workflows, including e-signature coordination and filing.

•             Maintainmatter tracking and legal department records.

•             Supportthe General Counsel on special projects and legal operations initiatives asneeded.

 

Qualifications

 

•             Bachelor'sdegree required; paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program orequivalent paralegal experience preferred.

•             Minimum3–5 years of experience in a paralegal, legal operations, or compliance supportrole in a regulated environment.

•             Workingknowledge of contract lifecycle management, including drafting, review,negotiation, execution, and ongoing obligation management.

•             Experiencesupporting government contracting, including RFP processes, procurementcompliance, and public sector customer requirements.

•             Priorin-house, government, or public sector legal experience preferred.

•             Experiencewith AI tools, including large language models and generative AI applications,is required.

•             Familiaritywith compliance frameworks such as ISO, CJIS, or NIST is preferred but notrequired.

•             Strongdocumentation, process-writing, and organizational skills.

•             Proficiencywith document management systems, e-signature platforms, and productivity tools(e.g., SharePoint, Adobe, Microsoft 365).

•             Abilityto manage competing priorities and recurring deadlines independently.

Hybrid role in either Phoenix, AZ or Indianapolis, IN office- 3 days per week on site

Compensation : $ 65,000- $75,000 annual

 

 

 

 

 

 

Team Structure

 

This position reports directly to the General Counsel andworks closely with HR, IT Security, Operations, and Business Development teams.It is an individual contributor role within a small in-house legal team.
